McGee Cup 2025

The Aggies traveled East this past weeekend, to Worcester, to face off against WPI, Boston College, Coast Guard, and Connecticut College. Battling rain and a very strong headwind with gusts upto 30mph, the Aggies were able to fight and have a good showing.

2V8+: 3rd

Racing first was the 2V8+, featuring, Skyler Ellis(Coxswain), Samuel Sturdy(stroke), Luke Shamaly(7), Daniel Smith(6), Gage Lane(5), Luka Lasic(4), Robert Mottau(3), Zachary Kirchner (2), and Deylin Uysal(bow). The boat held onto the top two for the first 750m and had a strong finish.

N8+: 4th

Next to race was the N8+. This boat featured Datya Kurzban(Coxswain), Graham Schwendt(stroke), Quinn Keating(7), Ryan Greenwood(6), Adam Post-Montjoie(5), Eddie Keen(4), Augustus Elam(3), Ryan Tessitore(2), and Ander Borger(bow) battled the hard conditions to a fourth place finish.

1V4+: 1st

The final boat to race was the 1V4+ featuring, Jonathon Shi(Coxswain), James Burnham(stroke), Matthew Lavoie(3), Max Johnson(2), and Brandon Burns(bow). This boat beat all others by multiple lengths.

The Aggies will continue to build as they are now less than 3 weeks away from ACRA. They are in Worcester again this following weekend, to race at NERC. The boys look forward to your support and continue to work hard as the number of days begin to shorten until ACRA.
