About Rent-a-Rower
As a club program, we get the majority of our funding from our rowers and alumni. Through the Rent-a-Rower project we assist people in the local community by raking leaves, moving furniture, and virtually any other task you could possibly need.
If you have tasks that need completing, yards that need raking, boxes that need moving, or anything else you can think of, consider using the power of UMass Men's Rowing to get it done.
Availability
Our highest-volume weekends are all four weekends in the month of November, but this year we are trying to expand the program and number of jobs we can do. As a result, we are trying to fit in more December and Spring jobs, with tasks such as shoveling, mowing, spring cleaning and more.
Obviously, we are students in addition to being athletes, so exam times and class times may come into conflict. We will work our hardest to schedule around these, so don’t let that deter you from scheduling an appointment!
Rate and Payment
Our rate is $17 per hour, per rower. This can be made payable via cash or check (out to Massachusetts Men’s Rowing) and 100% of it goes towards running our historic club. Every penny you spend on us is devoted to making the team run faster and better than ever before.
