2023 ARCA Results & Fall 2023 Recruiting

2023 ACRA Results

Lineups:

4x: B. Burns, D. Sealy, R. Mottau, A. Mastromatteo

Taking home silver, these four Aggies spent the last 2 weeks of their fall season preparing for the Head of the Fish. This would mark the first time in Massachusetts Men’s Crew history for competing in the 4x event. Then, they raced 8+’s for the spring season only to return back to the Quad with 9 days until ACRA. With the limited sculling experience, the 4x managed to stay in the heat of the pack in both the semis and grand final. With 200 meters left in their final race, they gained a full boat-length on Grand Valley to claim 2nd place finish.

4+: G. Poelker-McKee, A. LeLievre, Z. Kozlowski, R. Dwyer, N. Rubin (c)

With racing starting early Friday, these four Aggies showed up to the racecourse ready to go. With the boat being an entire senior squad of rowers, they came into the weekend willing to leave it all on the course. Lining up against 36 teams, they placed 8th in the time trials on the first day of racing. They followed up that race with a 4th place finish of their heat semi final, and an overall finish of 9th after the final day of racing.

2-: T. Dudley/M. Legarda

Coming in 4th place in the Grand Final, these Aggies pulled it together in the last 2 weeks of the Spring season, hoping into the pair and figuring it out in a matter of days. Chemistry is a key component to rowing the pair and these roommates had exactly that. The pair started the week with a strong time trial and semi heat finishes, underrating the competition by a couple beats. The pair would capitalize on a 4th place finish, improving upon last year’s 5th place finish.
